Jonathan Bowman’s insight into the senior health care industry is based on personal experience. His father, Steven, is a highly regarded doctor of internal medicine in Clearwater.  Jonathan has always wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps after seeing what a difference he makes in people’s lives every day.

When, Jonathan was in high school he got a first-hand lesson in the need for home care services.  His Mother, Judy, battled breast cancer and the in home caregivers assigned to help take care of her made a tremendous difference in his family’s life and his mother’s well being.

Immediately after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina, Jonathan pursued his dream to build an in home health care company to serve seniors. His goal was to establish an organization that valued dignity and independence so that seniors could maintain a high quality of life and get the help they need, when they need it. Jonathan’s grandmother is a vital part of her community and is his role model for independent senior living.

Jonathan was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, and has always been interested in personal and leadership development. While attending the University of North Carolina he leveraged his management and motivational skills to help found a chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and served as President.  The experience he gained has enabled him to build an ethical company that serves as a responsible steward of the community.

In addition to building Harmony Home Health, Jonathan is very active in the community. He has served as an Executive Board Member for the Jewish Federation of Pinellas County since 2006, and is the current Marketing Chair, and along with his wife, the Super Sunday Chair. As an avid member of Toastmasters, Jonathan is working to make his goal to become a professional speaker a reality. He currently speaks to audiences about leadership, aging, and senior home health care.

Jonathan is passionate about Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and is the current Forum Chair for the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).  To further his leadership skills, Jonathan is also an alumnus of Leadership Pinellas and the Sandler Sales Institute. He continues to expand Harmony Home Health’s reach throughout Tampa Bay and become known as the trusted expert in fall prevention and dementia care. Together with his team, Jonathan builds a better company every day as they continually adapt to meet the evolving needs of families caring for aging parents and spouses.

Recently, Jonathan has received several awards to recognize his success in the health care industry.  Some recent awards he has won are:

• Winner of 2011 Edward N. Ludin Young Leadership Award presented by the Jewish Federation of Pinellas and Pasco Counties

• Finalist for the 2011 Health Care Heroes Award presented by the Tampa Bay Business Journal
